Founded in 2008 upon a generous gift from Jimmy and Dee Haslam and Jim and Natalie Haslam, the Haslam Scholars Program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, has flourished as a unique and diverse honors enrichment program in which top students learn from and with one another through a series of integrated, interdisciplinary seminars and extracurricular experiences. Haslam Scholars serve as high-profile undergraduate leaders whose lofty academic ambitions match those of the program and the institution.

2012 Haslam Scholars Announced

The Haslam Scholars Program is proud to announce Class of 2016. The newest Haslam Scholars are poised to contribute mightily to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s most selective and prestigious university-wide specialized honors program.

2011 “Running for Hope”

On November 12, 2011, members of the Haslam Scholars Program executed their first self-organized philanthropic project, a 5K Run to raise funds for Redeeming Hope Ministries.  Over 250 runners registered for the 5K or the 1 mile “fun run.” The students raised close to $7,000 for the local non-profit organization, whose mission is holistic transformation [...]
